Operation
Santa Claus gives children of Caddo and Bossier Parishes a Christmas
to remember.
Since 1984, public safety
agencies in Caddo and Bossier parishes have teamed
up with KWKH radio station – now part of Townsquare Media – to help fill childrens wishes throughout the area.
Last year, hundreds of
disadvantaged children were given Christmas presents,
thanks to the help of public safety departments and
people like you!
The
only way to get on the list is to be nominated in
person by a law enforcement officer or member of
the fire department.
Through the airways
of Townsquare Media and the Internet, volunteers
with Operation Santa Claus work to find sponsors
who will donate toys or money to help fill the
children’s Christmas wishes.
Unwrapped Toys
may be taken to any Citizens Bank location or Townsquare Media located at 6341 Westport Ave just
past Cracker Barrel in Shreveport
.
Once toys are donated,
the Shreveport Police and Firefighters, and Bossier
Sheriff’s deputies who nominated the children
for the program play Santa, delivering the goodies
in their police cars and fire trucks in time for
Christmas.
