Operation Santa Claus Radio Control Race
T and T Speedway in Shreveport held its
annual Operation Santa Claus Radio Control Race Saturday,
Dec. 3,2011.
Members of the Shreveport Police and Fire Departments,
as well as Townsquare media participated with several local
children in the race event.
Organizers say they've had nearly a thousand children sign
up this year to receive a toy from Operation Santa Claus.
Gary McCoy with Townsquare Media says the only problem
is there hasn't been enough donations to where every child
would receive a toy.
"Operation Santa Claus was birthed right there in the Town Square Media radio stations about 25 years ago to say this is the least amount of toys we've ever had is a sign of the times," said McCoy.
